It might be a
pipe dream, but I'd like to see us all in one place, so we
don't have to shuffle around from site to site. I love KD, but
to be honest I'm more at home at CoE - even with all the
kerfluffles.
I'm following the Ask the Mods thread
closely, though there haven't been any posts in the last two
hours. I'm under the impression that Rosie G's post was what
did it. And now Melkor's trying to apologize in his clumsy
authority-seeking way, but he just doesn't know how, and the
fact that we're all still angry with him isn't making it any
easier.
(Not saying we shouldn't be mad - we have every
right to be mad.)
What I'm getting at is that I
do think Melkor's on the right track. It's just that
it's hard enough, and humbling enough, for him to have to take
back everything that he said, and have us angry with
him and unwilling to trust. He's saying, "Well, I messed up,
so I'm sorry, but
don't-forget-that-I'm-still-in-charge-and-you-still-have-to-respect-me!"
But that's Melk for ya. I'm going to take what I can
get here.
And so what if some people don't like us? The
impression I'm getting is that we're going to be left alone.
Hopefully.
I really hope I'm not just being overly
optimistic here.
Anyway, let's not make any decisions
as of yet. Let's give it some time. I'm waiting to see how the
reception is over there in the next couple of days.
