But if you haven't read Julian May, actually posting there could backfire, don't you think?

And I second Narya - nobody set off the mess at CoE. As far back as the Casting Crisis Melkor stated his vision for Fandom, and it didn't really fit what people were doing in Casting or did in Fandom, either. I know that when the Faculty was trying to figure out what to do, we could find quotes from Melkor and the mods that were in direct contradiction.

Now I've forgotten who said it first , but I also agree that the fact that Melkor is now owner has a lot to do with it - he wants the site to more accurately reflect his vision, which Aram's Imladris didn't, quite.

Nobody's fault, guys.

Harem Synchronicity
Ariel has written a fic about post-quest angsty Fro (which I've yet to read ), just as I did and Elda did. Chica has written a wonderful fic in progress about how Frodo was so tragically orphaned. Ariel has written two wonderful fics about Frodo's illness and cure in Rivendell, and his and Sam's rescue by the Eagles from Mt Doom. The last topic I was wanting to write a fic on before Ariel wrote hers ... well, I don't have to write one now 'cause hers was so fab.
