oh my goodness, Ariel that's going in my picture file for sure (only for just enjoying here on my computer)....you have truly captured the essense of Frodo here.....You are an excellent artist! Oh gosh.... yes, and I loved Cion's remark too...."A person can't look like that asleep and expect to be left asleep"....who says Frodo is just a cutsey little hobbit.....

And i got my Frodo in Orc Armor today from someone in Wisconsin on another board who got three for our little Northwesternesse hoot here (apparently they are in Targets everywhere out there).....and I love him! They have captured the sadness in his eyes incredibly!!!! I almost like his face even more than my Elven Stiing Frodo and I just love him...

In fact (EvFrodo blushes here)...I got him after finishing a day long class that I had to get up way earlier than I'm used to for.,...I couldn't even wait to get home...(I had my husband bring him down to me so I could open him in the car)...and promptly crashed when I got home....the whole time it seemed I was dreaming about my little Orc Frodo and dreamed that they had one for each movie! hahaha![

Perhaps we are all deep in blue funks. I wouldn't say I'm in a funk; I wouldn't dare, not with all these experienced funkers here. However, I must admit to a state of mild cyan-ness. Yesterday, due to an early morning cavity filling, my mouth was numb for the whole day; Frodo was very disappointed, not to mention myself.
Today, the entire family has descended upon our house en masse, as our house is a convenient place to camp while they hit all the sales in the city.
Tomorrow, we will be entertaining 21 dinner guests, 13 (quite apropos) of which are children. :sighs deeply: Okay, all done. And I must say Ariel's sketch has gone to great lengths to pull me forcibly out of my blue state He is so very lovely . . . very good sketch

What are these buttons of which you speak? I've never seen them anywhere When I got my FOTR DVD, they had posters, but no buttons. (not that posters are bad...) :Catta contemplates getting the Frodo TTT poster, and promply loses her train of thought:

I agree with Cion's assessment of lottery tickets .... but must admit there's a little corner of my mind, that despite never purchasing tickets, has a nice long list of 'what I'd buy' if I ever came into gazillions of $$ ....

Big plans -- on the five-hour drive to the weeklong conference I have to go to Sunday (yep, this is bringing out the "blue funk" in me ) -- I'm going to bring my FotR and TT CDs and listen to them on the way down and back ... Good prep for when the TR DVD comes out, ohsosoon!

Stepping out of the blue funk for a moment to say:

That is a truly amazing and gifted drawing; - the more you look at it, the more alive and individual it becomes.

Yes, there *is* life in that face and tension in those eyelids - he's either deep in REM sleep having very vivid and sweet dreams, or he has just been awakened by something very pleasant and his mind is trying to figure out what, exactly, while still half submerged in dreams. The eyes are about to open and his mouth seems about to move into a full smile and possibly to let forth a small surprised gasp.

After all, things could be happening outside of the picture frame. A haremite could be, well - uhm - gently caressing and kissing the palm of his hand? Or she's just whispered something softly into that delicious ear. Or..... *who* exactly undid the buttons gently and bared his chest like that?

The best pictures are those which fuel your curiosity and your imagination and send your brain right into vivid mini-fic creation mode while studying them. Oh, don't you just long to help make those tired bruises around the eyes fade away?

Or, this could also be the time when he is recovering in Rivendell and so he is having intense dreams of pain and terror after his experience on Weathertop....he has a very distressed look on his face to me....

either way, the result is the same...he definitely needs to be kissed awake

Oh, good! I am glad you folks enjoyed that. Sometimes you are amazed at what comes out of the tip of your pencil and sometimes,... well, let's just say, I don't show you those! As for the mystery of what he is thinking/doing/about to do - well, that is entirely up to your imagination! Though, if you have him lying in bed with his shirt undone, your imaginations could go a little wild!

Goldie!!! I GOT IT! WOWOWOWOWOW! What a cute little film and he's just delicious in it! I don't think the film would inspire me to write fic (unlike 'The War' - whose Stu really became my young Frodo for 'Fear') but the images! OOoooo... I could definitely use them for some Frodrawings!

Well, I am off... Next week I will be being a wanton woman in the wilds of western PA... My net access may not be the greatest, but I will try and answer email. I am hoping to have time to write or draw (which I really need a vacation to do!) but am not really planning anything. If the opportunities arise, they will.

Have fun and hope the hooters (sans Maeglian ((((HUGS - feeling better?))))) are having a blast!

I have been missing my Harem sisters very much. Work has been keeping me away from the pc *grumble,grumble*. I have missed all of you so much, you gals really know how to brighten up a bad day.
I am in a mini-funk of my own due to many things. Friends with stupid boyfriends, guy I have a crush on leaving for California in a week, body image stuff, etc.
Tried watching the ROTK trailer to chear myself up, but that trailer almost makes me cry anyway. But the TTT dvd will be out soon and that will help. Hopefully that will induce a frenzy around here.
Oh, Ariel that portrait is wonderful, will you have a fanfic to go alone with it?

I know I used to have this, but I can't find the stupid thing anywhere. There's a picture of Frodo's bedroom, not the tight pictures of the wardrobe or the window but a wide-angle set shot with the bed and nightstand and whatnot. Does anyone have it? I'm making a new subdomain on my site for my non-LotR fics and would like to use that for the index graphic.

Lovely bedroom pic! However, I just realized that the color of the new couch I finally bought to replace the 16 year old junker in my TV room is very very close to the color of Frodo's bedspread in that pic. I fell in love with the color the instant I saw the couch two weeks ago, yet I hadn't seen this pic in a long time - how's that for subliminal memory???

I love that pic for a number of reasons, but especially because you can still see the crease where his head lay on the pillow.

My its slow here tonight...its a few hours later and I just finished watching one of my favorite movies with "Little Fro"..."Forever Young" for the umpteenth time but really for the first time since I got into the LOTR movies....Those blue eyes of Elijah's are amazing even back then and I could see some of the same facial expressions.

Ariel, loffly drawing! It turned out *quite* well!

I have 2 (+1 hubby) definites for Howard Shore in Columbus, plus there were two maybes -- Lily and I think Mariole. Was anyone else interested. Do either of the maybes want tickets? I'm buying them tomorrow (Monday) at 9am, so if there is not more interest, I'm just buying for the definites... New car has put finances in a crunch, so I can't buy on speculation (wish I could! )

And I *do* love that bedroom picture. Didn't deluby do a photomanip with Frodo actually *in* the bed?

O-M-G, my account is actually working! After 7 months of limbo, I can finally post again!!! It's been a very harrowing experience, believe me. Can you ladies imagine the torment of being in a lurk-only mode for all this time, while the Harem is going about its swoon-fest? It's truly the WORST.

Unexpectedly I felt a filk-writing mood coming on. I figured it would be some sombre and gloomy song to fit the funk, but - no! After all, it's been a lovely day, the sun is shining, I'm feeling much better and I ended up with an upbeat, happy, funny filk instead.
