Winter, stick around and post, honey.
Trust me: the Harem have got through worse infighting than this. Yer daft bints.
(((Hewene))) (((erendis)))
Well, I met with our darling Niphy last night after work for drinks
and hobbity-style eating, and she just happened to purchase herself a certain
DVD, which is now available all over the UK, in HMV, Waterstones, Sainsburys,
etc etc etc. (Somebody tell me - erendis? - how is this legal????? )
I am one of those primitive folk who don't own a DVD player (gasp!)
so I will simply wait for the VHS of the TTT EE in November. Of course I
will buy the TTT EE DVD anyway, for when I do eventually get round to buying
a DVD player.
And hey! When Niphy purchased her DVD, there was a Stand Up Frodo in the shop, one which we have not seen before, precious. Yea verily, A NEW Stand Up Frodo! Oh, and it -I mean he - is so danged cute. But, quoth Niphy, he was too large for her to stuff him up her dress and carry him out of the shop.
Aratlithiel and Mariole, if you want to start discussing PJ's treatments
of Frodo's character in both FOTR and TTT, bring it on, because I have much
to say. Not in this thread though ... there are similar threads over in the Movie Forum.
But I think I now agree with Niphy on this subject ... that TTT Frodo
is in some ways closer to Book Frodo than FOTR Frodo was. And I have few
worries about ROTK Frodo. Elwood does Angsty Frodo too well, and Frodo is
at the broken-down stage anyway in ROTK (sob sob sob) and ... well ... the
Poster bodes so very well, for the mood and tone of the film.
