I only lurk now and then in The Harem, but felt compelled to interrupt for a moment to send much sympathy to Ellin. I'm so sorrry to hear about Tisha - our little dog has been very ill twice in the past 12 months, though she's only 5 - but luckily she is still with us. Sending hugs!

Congrats to Elanorh, Aisling & families. Welcome to the world, little ones.

Just ducking in for a quick "hello" and ((hugs)) for all who've sent congratulations our way!! Hubby hasn't had any concerns about the dark hair yet (well, he's dark haired too) ... and I haven't pointed out the large, film-hobbit-like (minus the fur) feet that our little Alexina Christina has .... We named her for my great-great aunt, a wonderful lady who I greatly admired growing up (she lived to 3 months from her 100th and was independent 'til almost the very end).

She seems to be appropriately named. Her pediatrician describes her as "assertive." Don't know how often I'll be able to post or keep up ... she's still in her sleepy phase right now but once the milk comes in and she gets a little more adjusted to the outside world I'm sure she'll be even more 'assertive.'

(((Ellin))) ... oddly enough one of my bizarre sappy moments at the hospital was thinking about my childhood cat, Playful, and how ironic it was that she used to try to get *into* the house before she would have kittens ... whereas I managed to lock myself out with no one to let me in for 1 1/2 hours, right after figuring out that Monday night/Tuesday morning just might be the night. I think she would have thought it was funny. She was a wise one. I don't know if we ever completely 'lose' those we love - even pets. ((hug))

Aisling -- you're quite the trend-setter.

Better *pop* back into RL and stop my OT-RL update.
